Set of Marginea ceramic cup and plate
Made by Magopăţ Family from Marginea Village, Suceava County.
Pottery from Marginea is a result of the use of a production technology belonging to the Horodiştea - Floreşti culture, the most thriving period of the Geto-Dacian black ceramics.
For 300 years, six generations of potters in Magopăţ Family have been spinning the wheel and burning the clay. Black ceramics are produced precisely by the same prehistoric techniques: two-stage burning, oxidizing burning and smoldering, and ornamentation by glazing with a river stone.
The clay is brought from the outskirts of the village, the pots are molded on the wheel, dried for at least 10 days in the sun, burnt for about 10 hours with resinous wood in open kilns, at a temperature that rises up to 800 degrees Celsius, after which all in and out holes of the...

The clay is brought from the outskirts of the village, the pots are molded on the wheel, dried for at least 10 days in the sun, burnt for about 10 hours with resinous wood in open kilns, at a temperature that rises up to 800 degrees Celsius, after which all in and out holes of the kiln are filled with pots, manure and clay. In this way, smoldering occurs, which takes about 24 hours; meanwhile the carbon oxide penetrates the walls of the pots, leading to the black color. Two techniques of ornamentation are used: indentation and glazing. The indentation consists of applying a wheel on the raw pot, and glazing is made with a river stone.
Wiping with a soft wet cloth or handwashing is recommended.

It is a SzentAbrahami handcrafted product, created by Emese Csiki. The medicinal plants come from the garden of a 300-year-old mansion from Avrămeşti village, in Harghita county. The culture has organic certification. The flowers and leaves of the plants are collected without stems and wrapped in recycled paper envelopes. Acacia honey with honeycomb
Acacia honey is produced by the Beu family in the heart of Transylvania. The beekeepers from Prisaca Transilvania have a tradition of over 80 years in apiculture on the hills of Nădășel village, Cluj county.
It’s one of the most appreciated honey varieties. The pleasant, unique taste and its medicinal properties make this honey assortment a delicacy that gourmands cannot but appreciate. The flavor is unique: a subtle scent of acacia and wax. Acacia honey contains most essential minerals - phosphorus, potassium, copper, iron, calcium, manganese and vitamins A, C, B1, B2, B3, B5 and B6. In addition, acacia honey has natural antibiotics and enzymes.
In small amounts, acacia honey soothes the body and gives it a good feeling, and in larger quantities it gives energy. Acacia honey is used as an antiseptic, for cough, in the treatment of anemia, asthenia, insomnia, neurosis, ulcer, to stimulate appetite, to improve heart and liver activity, to stimulate hemoglobin in the blood. It is an excellent tonic for pregnant women, children and convalescents. Acacia honey can replace sugar in tea or coffee without changing the taste.
The honeycomb is a very complex product, which contains several bee products in their purest form: honey, royal jelly, propolis, pollen and, last but not least, wax. Honeycombs are used to treat respiratory diseases - sinusitis, bronchitis, and rhinitis, laryngitis, but also in asthenia, anemia, allergies, and stomach diseases. Chewing honeycomb helps clean tartar teeth, regulate metabolism and strengthen immunity.
